Anna Thorvaldsdottir - The Ancient Woodland

04th November 2026
'The ground is strong, filled with giants...' Inspired by walking among the trees, Icelandic composer Anna Thorvaldsdottir’s 'Ancient Woodland' is one of four original audio works created for Soundlines - inviting you to experience our 70-acre landscape through music and sound. A meditation on time, movement and stillness.
An award-winning composer and one of the leading voices in contemporary music, Anna’s work has been commissioned by some of the world’s foremost orchestras, including the Berlin and New York Philharmonics.
Discover our Soundlines trail on your next visit through our Bloomberg Connects digital guide.

Presented in partnership with Sound and Music
