Lubna Chowdhary (b. 1964, Dodoma. Lives and works in London) works primarily in the field of ceramics, bridging the disciplines of architecture, craft, design, sculpture, and painting. Through experiments in aesthetic hybridity, her work negotiates cross-cultural narratives of modernity. For Goodwood Art Foundation, Chowdhary’s presentation will include a selection of ceramic ‘Markers’ and two large-scale collage works from her ‘Switch’ series.

Lubna Chowdhary received her BA from Manchester Metropolitan University in 1988, and MA from the Royal College of Art, London, in 1991. She received The Sir Eduardo Paolozzi Travel Award in 1990.
