Laís Amaral in ERASURE

01st April 2026
Amaral's practice draws on her background in social and environmental activism.

Using her signature scraping technique, Amaral works with tools linked to body adornment and grooming, embedding gestures of identity and resistance into the surface of each piece. The resulting paintings unfold as shifting topographies, where ecology, memory and culture converge.

Featuring paintings exhibited for the first time, this is her debut institutional presentation in Europe.

‘ERASURE’ | Winter exhibition open at Goodwood Art Foundation until 6 April 2026.

Film by James Blake.
