Join us for a day of relaxed, drop-in activities exploring wildlife, habitats and natural systems across our landscape. All activities will be taking place at the Learning Hub and walks will set off from this location. Please arrive 5 minutes early for walks, as spaces are limited and offered on a first come basis.
10–10.30am: Begin with a Bee Hive Introduction, discovering how the hives operate and the vital role bees play in the landscape.
10.30am-4pm: Our Family Art Club will be taking place in our Learning Hub, offering the opportunity to experiment with Sun Printing (cyanotypes) and create a Clay Hedgehog.
11–11.30am: Join a Small Mammal Survey Walk led by an expert guide, learning to spot tracks, habitats and feeding signs of hidden wildlife.
11.30am–12.30pm: Drop into What is Soil? for an engaging introduction to soil as a living ecosystem, with a chance to take a closer look beneath your feet.
2–3pm: Take a Nature Stroll with Gardener Jess, exploring seasonal highlights, planting and wildlife, including the newly built Bumblebee House.
3.30-4pm: Head out on a Small Mammal Survey Walk to revisit the landscape and tune into the subtle signs of animal activity across different habitats.
